DEFAULT
1.417 / 0.0393700787 = 35.7084357084 (35.9 worked better for 720X486)
convert the maya horizontal film aperture (measured in decimal inches) to houdini(measured in millimeters). divide the maya value by 0.0396825 and you will get the houdini aperture. ############## 1 millimeter = 0.0393700787 inch
STEPS TO GET CAMERAS MATCHED
set focal length the same in both apps set aspect ratio to 1 in houdini (horizontal same as vertical) set maya's veritcal apeture to the same as horizontal , (OR use aspect to convert if not square) set houdini's apeture to ( Maya's Horizontal Apeture / 0.0396825 )
Animation
make sure FPS is same in both ? use chandump.mel (for now until I debug API plugin) set houdini file node to shift -1
